-       2013618日,房地部长宣布将在不同州属兴建四座大型垃圾焚化炉。
-       20131125吉隆坡不要焚化炉行动委员会(KTI)步行至国会提程备忘录及12499个签名,惟首相与房地在提前接获通知的情况下,无法出面接收有关备忘录
-       KTI将在2014年举办排毒苦行2.0,从吉隆坡出发步行至布城


谁来焚化炉昂贵的费用买单?是你和我!
-       耗资约8亿令吉,但只有10年的寿命。需要被提升,涉及额外费用。
-       我国将每年烧掉1亿8950万令吉!这笔由纳税人买单的费用可用来建造学校、马路、路灯等。
-       相较于现有的土埋场每吨123令吉的运作费,焚化炉每年多消耗1亿4453万令吉。如果您不想负上更沉重的税务,请出来反对!

绿与更好的生活素质善用现有设备,推行可永续发展的管理方式
-       武吉达卡占地700英亩,可容纳1亿2000万公吨垃圾。该土埋场每日可处理5000公吨垃圾,惟目前仅接收2400公吨。目前,该土埋场仅容纳了140万公吨的垃圾,预计仍有70年的寿命。
-       机械生物处理科技(Mechanial Biological Treatment)可将占家用垃圾45%的厨余垃圾转化成堆肥。
-        政府没有实行现有强制垃圾分类的法案。
-       零废物管理减少,重复使用及循环再用符合可永续发展的垃圾管理之条件,相反地,焚化炉却不符合。

Chronology of Jinjang Taman Beringin Incinerator
-       On 18th June 2013 The Government announced it would build 4 new incinerators in various states.
-       On 25 Nov 2013, KTI walked to Parliament to hand in a memorandum and 12,499 petitions.  However, the Prime Minister and Local and Housing Minister were not available to receive the petitions though they were notified earlier.
-        KTI will organize Mega Walk 2.0 from KL to Putrajaya in 2014.

WHO WILL BEAR THE EXPENSIVE COSTS OF INCINERATOR? IT’S  YOU AND ME!
-       Estimated at RM800million but has a lifespan of 10 years only. Need to be upgraded at additional costs.
-       The country is incinerating waste at the cost of RM189,500,000 each year. No Santa Claus will pay for you. All paid by taxpayers when the money can be used to build schools, roads, street lamps, etc.
-       Landfill costs RM123.20 per ton for disposal of waste as opposed to incinerator which costs RM144,532,000 more per year. Please protest if you do not wish to be burdened further!!!

A GREENER LIFE AND BETTER LIVING QUALITY!                      Existing and Proposed Sustainable Solutions
-       Bukit Tagar Sanitary Landfill can operate for at least another 70 years. With 700 acres, it can bury 120 million tonnes of waste and currently only 1.4 million tonnes of capacity are being used. It can receive max 5,000 tonnes  of waste per day, currently at  2,400 tons per day.
-       Mechanical Biological Treatment MBT produces organic waste which accounted for 45% of daily wastes that are converted to fertilizer
-       The authorities do not enforce mandatory waste segregation though they are empowered to do so.
-       “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Zero Waste” complies with the requirement of sustainable waste management, but not incinerator.
